The big transaction news for the Oakland Raiders this weekend was their trade of 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack to the Chicago Bears, and the topic dominated coach Jon Gruden's press conference on Sunday.
But the next item of discussion was the Raiders' other trade on Saturday -- obtaining quarterback AJ McCarron from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a fifth-round choice in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Gruden said the Raiders had a lot of points of contact with McCarron, including when the coach was a broadcaster at ESPN and hosted the former Alabama quarterback on an episode of "Gruden's QB Camp" as he was entering the NFL.
