TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – LSU wide receiver D.J. Chark is a good football player.
Good hand-eye coordination. Good hands. Athletic. But he looked all out of sorts trying to field JK Scott’s punts Saturday night, to the point he fell backward trying to catching one.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had that happen,” Scott said with a smile after Alabama’s 24-10 victory over LSU on Saturday night.
Maybe the bright lights glaring in the night sky at Bryant-Denny Stadium threw off Chark, but the hang time on Scott’s punts likely had something to do with it, too.
