Florida coach Jim McElwain doesn’t seem to think Alabama coach Nick Saban will quit coaching any time soon.
McElwain, who served as the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator for four seasons under Saban, was asked about his former boss during the Gators’ appearance at SEC Media Days on Monday.
“I think he can go forever,” McElwain said. “That’s just the way he’s wired.”
Last December, when Florida reached the SEC Championship Game, McElwain, who was in his first season as Florida’s head coach, was able to see Saban operate again up close.
“I didn’t see one less bounce in his step, anything like that,” McElwain said.
