Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jesse Williams has bench-pressed 600 pounds. At the NFL Scouting Combine in 2013, he benched 225 pounds 30 times. Now, the former Alabama standout is working out with 15 pounds.
The Seahawks' official team web site has detailed Williams' first steps to return after having a kidney removed on May 28. Williams was cleared for workouts on Thursday. But those workouts are limited, on doctors' orders, to light cardiovascular work and weights of fewer than 20 pounds. So as his teammates completed OTAs last week and participate in minicamp this week, Williams has returned to Seattle's weight room.
