When Tampa Bay returns from its bye week with an NFC South game against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 14, Jameis Winston will be the Buccaneers' starting quarterback.
The former Hueytown High School standout missed the first three games of the season after the NFL suspended him for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy.
The Bucs continued with Ryan Fitzpatrick as their starting quarterback in Game 4 on Sunday. But that will change after the open date, Tampa Bay coach Dirk Koetter said on Monday.
"Jameis Winston is the guy who's going to be here way longer than I am," Koetter said.
