Fullbacks are virtually never in the spotlight in the NFL anymore. They have become offensive linemen with lower numbers of their jerseys.
But Tennessee Titans fullback Jalston Fowler got some shoutouts after a 33-27 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Fowler's effort on DeMarco Murray's 75-yard touchdown run particularly drew the attention of his coaches and energized his teammates.
Fowler got Jeremy Lane out of Murray's way twice, blocking the Seattle cornerback 55 yards apart on the touchdown run.
"Nudie, Jalston Fowler, blocking the point and then blocking the point all the way down the field," Tennessee coach Mike Mularkey said during his Monday press conference.
