Alabama backup quarterback, Jalen Hurts had successful surgery on a twisted ankle suffered in Saturday’s win over the Tennessee Volunteers.
The injury happened when Hurts scored during a run in the fourth quarter, yet he continued to play afterward. His high-ankle sprain, according to Nick Saban should not affect his on-field play. However, the junior quarterback is not expected to practice during the Tide’s BYE week.
After the surgery, Hurts posted a picture of himself along with an inspiring message on his Instagram page. God-speed to him in his recovery.
