Coach Nick Saban taught Jalen Hurts well during his three years at the University of Alabama.
Hurts did not fall for the rat poison from reporters leading into the matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, and he kept the Philadelphia Eagles undefeated in Sunday’s game. He totaled 239 passing yards, 61 rushing yards, and two touchdowns in Philadelphia’s 20-17 victory on the road. Hurts assisted Dallas Goedert (95) and DeVonta Smith (87) to nearly 100-yard games.
He took the Eagles on a 70-yard drive in 17 plays during the fourth quarter. Hurts put Cameron Dicker in position to make a 23-yard field with 1:45 left in regulation.
