Maurice Smith wants to transfer from Alabama to Georgia. Apparently, Alabama is saying no. And – voila – karma.
Smith is a defensive back who graduates this weekend from Alabama, and he wants to play his final season at Georgia as a grad transfer. That would reunite him with Kirby Smart, who was his position coach at Alabama. But his mom, Samyra Smith, tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Alabama is blocking the move.
As for the karma aspect, remember that Smart blocked some potential transfer landing spots for running back A.J. Turman. There is a difference, though: Smith would be a grad transfer, while Turman is a junior.
