Wide receiver Quan Bray's third NFL season is over after the Indianapolis Colts placed the Auburn alumnus on injured reserve on Tuesday.
The Colts did not announce the nature of Bray's injury, and the transaction caught reporters who cover the team by surprise because Bray had not left Indianapolis' game against the Houston Texans on Sunday with an injury.
I saw Quan Bray after the game and honestly had no idea he was hurt. This likely means Chester Rogers will take on a bigger sp teams role. https://t.co/06t0ckyqee

Bray had caught three passes for 39 yards this season, but his primary duties with the Colts came on special teams.
