The state of Alabama’s Gatorade Player of the Year, Earl Woods III should see his recruitment explode soon after putting up video game-like numbers en route to leading Hueytown High School to the 6A State Championship game.
Woods started at quarterback for the Golden Gophers and finished the season with 3,072 passing yards, 2, 123 rushing yards and 68 total touchdowns. The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder gave defenses fits with his ability to use his feet to extend plays, keep his eyes down the field and deliver the deep ball with a nice touch. He also displayed great pocket awareness at times as he stepped up in the pocket to deliver some great throws throughout the season.
