How much will Kirby Smart make at Georgia?

Kirby Smart will get a hefty raise as he goes from one of the nation's highest-paid assistants to Georgia head coach.

Smart agreed to a six-year contract that will pay him $3.75 million annually, according to a memorandum of understanding released by Georgia. He had been making $1.5 million annually as Alabama's defensive coordinator. Former Georgia coach Mark Richt made $4.124 million in his final season in Athens.

Smart's salary would put him in the bottom half of the SEC, according to USA Today's coaching salary database.

Smart has multiple bonus opportunities to bump up his total pay.
