Jalen Milroe is on the cusp of starting his first game under Kalen DeBoer.
The pair will enter their first game as a head coach and quarterback duo Saturday when Alabama takes on Western Kentucky.
It has been a long seven months of change in Tuscaloosa with Nick Saban retiring and Kalen DeBoer taking over head coaching duties for the Crimson Tide. Before Milroe takes a snap in his offense, DeBoer has had to prepare to coach the talented quarterback and the weapons around him.
“I watched the games on my own, just not just for Jalen’s purposes, but for everyone, just to understand what these guys have been through, the games, how they flowed, what our personnel did look like, not just at quarterback, but all of them,” DeBoer said.
