Former Alabama standout Trent Richardson made his CFL debut on Saturday in the Saskatchewan Roughriders' 27-24 victory over the Toronto Argonauts.
Playing in his first football game since a preseason contest with the Oakland Raiders on Aug. 30, 2015, Richardson ran for 20 yards on five carries for the Roughriders.
Richardson started the game and had a 3-yard run on Saskatchewan's third offensive snap, with an unnecessary-roughness penalty added to the play. He had a 4-yard run in the second quarter, and went for 4, 5 and 4 yards on third-quarter carries.
Saskatchewan signed Richardson on Sept.
