How Arkansas did Alabama a favor in Tide's 34-point rout

The first true sign that Arkansas could actually challenge Alabama's defense came less than three minutes into the Crimson Tide's 65-31 victory over the Razorbacks on Saturday.

With 12:13 left in the first quarter, the Hogs crossed into Alabama's territory when quarterback Ty Storey delivered a pass to tight end Austin Cantrell that resulted in an eight-yard gain. The play wasn't significant in the grand scheme of things, but it did perfectly illustrate the Razorbacks' surprisingly effective offensive strategy against the big, bad Tide.

At the outset of the game, Arkansas took advantage of Alabama defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi's no-holds-barred approach by throwing over the top of oncoming linebackers to targets running in the center of the field.
