Alabama’s secondary took multiple hits over the course of the season, but the group persevered and improved over the course of the season.
Coming into the season, the expectation was that the secondary would struggle at times against prolific passing attacks. A large reason for that assumption preceded the fact that Alabama lost eight defensive backs to either the transfer portal or the NFL during the offseason.
With that under consideration, Alabama’s secondary was able to hold teams in check this season. Only two teams — Auburn and Georgia were able to throw for over 252 yards this season.
