Home runs power Alabama softball past Kentucky

Reagan Dykes and Leona Lafaele came into Sunday's game against the Kentucky Wildcats with 10 home runs apiece.

Each slugger added one to her total to propel the fourth-ranked University of Alabama to a 3-0 victory in front of a packed house of 3,549 at Rhoads Stadium.

The win gave Alabama (41-9, 12-6 in SEC play) a series win over the 11th-ranked Wildcats (39-11, 14-7 SEC). And it kept up a healthy home run competition between the Crimson Tide sluggers, who are still tied for the team lead. Each hit two on the weekend, and Lafaele has hit seven in her last eight games.
