When you're as young and inexperienced as Alabama's secondary, when you're about to face one of the nation's top quarterbacks, when your defense has been shredded by the SEC's 12th best offense, losing a supreme talent such as starting cornerback Trevon Diggs is a kick in the gut.
Diggs broke a foot in last week's 65-31 rout of Arkansas and isn't expected to return this season. He started the first six games and was one of the few experienced players rotating in and out of the secondary.
Freshman Patrick Surtain Jr. or junior Saivion Smith will likely replace Diggs in the lineup, but that's blood in the water for Missouri quarterback Drew Lock.
