The connection between Bryce Young and Traeshon Holden happened before spring football at Alabama.
Both players attended high schools in California during their senior year.
Young was committed to the University of Southern California for 14 months before flipping to the Crimson Tide. He committed to the Trojans on July 25, 2018. During a football camp, a reporter from USC came to interview him. Young was the lead recruiter for the 2020 class, and Holden was his primary target. Holden, who played his final season at Narbonne High School, was committed to Alabama. In a hilarious interview, Young calls Holden over and was prepared to flip him to the Trojans.
