If we learned anything from Nick Saban’s press conference after Alabama’s first spring scrimmage it’s these two things: he doesn’t believe in timeframes as it pertains to his quarterback situation and depth is an issue on his mind.
As with most spring scrimmages, there will always be more questions than answers. Luckily for Alabama, those questions have more to do with depth than starters, a luxury Alabama affords because of recruiting and coaching.
As Saban said in his press conference on Saturday, there were players held out of the team’s scrimmage due to injury, including quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and wide reciever Jerry Jeudy as well as others who could just be nicked up enough to keep them out of practice.
