Former Alabama running back Kerry Goode, named SEC Freshman of the Year in 1983 who gained 1572 yards and scored 7 TDs in Tuscaloosa before embarking on a four year NFL career, was diagnosed with the dreaded Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) in 2015. Since then, he has battled valiantly as this awful disease slowly ate away at his quality of life. Now, a close friend is trying to help him raise the money for the smallest of requests: a beach vacation.
