Hear what the attorneys said after Terrence Cody's sentencing in animal-neglect case

One of the puzzling aspects to Terrence Cody's animal-neglect case was why his Canary mastiff named Taz starved to death while the other dogs found in his home appeared well-cared for.

Cody, one of the four two-time consensus All-Americans in Alabama's football history, was sentenced on Thursday to nine months in a Baltimore County detention facility. On Nov. 16, a Baltimore County Circuit Court judge had found Cody guilty of five counts of animal neglect, illegal possession of an alligator and two misdemeanor drug charges.

Cody spent five seasons as a defensive tackle with the Baltimore Ravens before being released after the 2014 season.
