The University of Alabama has landed one of the fastest football players in the Southeast.
Tyler Simmons, three-star wide receiver from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga., committed to the Tide on Saturday evening. The Peach State native, who also has scholarship offers from Cal, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Texas A&M, among several others, is UA's 18th commitment in the class of 2016.
"Alabama, of course, is a winning program," said Simmons. "They are the top program in the nation right now. They build athletes. They get you ready for the NFL. They get people ready for the next level.
