Demetris Robertson had been committed to Alabama since last July, but announced on Friday in a tweet that he was re-opening his recruitment.
Robertson noted that, after careful consideration with his family, the Savannah, Ga., four-star athlete would back off from his verbal commitment.
Georgia and Stanford have increased interest in Robertson, the nation's 35th ranked player and top-ranked athlete in the 247Sports composite.
Alabama is now down to five commitments for the class of 2016. Tight end Brendan Scales from Ballwin, Mo., committed to Alabama earlier Friday.
