It is never too early to start the hype for Alabama’s season opener against Miami.
George Teague, a Crimson Tide alumnus, has brought the intensity. He played at cornerback and free safety (1989-92) at the University of Alabama and became a legend on defense. One of Teague’s greatest plays during his career happened in the 1993 Sugar Bowl for a national championship. He intercepted a pass off Hurricanes’ quarterback Gino Torretta and returned it for a touchdown. After that, he ran down Lamar Thomas and stripped the ball from him. Teague’s second marquee play was negated because of a penalty; however, it took Miami out of rhythm.
