Joking that friends said he probably shouldn't be so active, former Alabama football coach Gene Stallings visited Tuscaloosa two weeks after suffering a massive heart attack in Texas.
The 25th anniversary of the Crimson Tide's 1992 national title season brought the 82-year old to the Bear Bryant Museum on Friday evening. A week earlier, he was on the field at Texas A&M as his 1967 ream was honored during the Alabama game.
No heart attack was stopping Stallings from these events.
"I had a responsibility and I was going to honor it," Stallings said.
