Details on Butch Jones’ contract at the University of Alabama emerged on Thursday, and the number is significantly less than what the 11-year head coach is used to.
According to a report from knox.news, the former Tennessee Volunteers coach will pocket $35,000 from the Crimson Tide as an offensive analyst for next season. During the Tide’s pro day in February, Nick Saban told the media that the program was “interested” in bringing Jones on the staff and called him an “intern” upon the first week of spring football practice.
While he’s at the bottom of the totem pole, the 50-year-old is not pressed for funds as he’s still receiving a hefty pay from Tennessee.
