Former Alabama offensive lineman Cyrus Kouandjio became a United States citizen Thursday, but not without giving a shout out to his former school first.
After he was officially naturalized at a ceremony held at a U.S. District courthouse in Buffalo, New York – where he plays for the Buffalo Bills – Kouandjio ended an interview with WGR-AM radio by giving a “Go Bills and Roll Tide.”
“I had a long road to get here,” Kouandjio said. “I am so glad, I feel so blessed to be part of a country that stands for freedom and liberty.”
Kouandjio was born in Cameroon but has lived in the United States for 19 years, moving to Beltsville, Maryland in suburban Washington, D.
