On Wednesday, Mel Tucker struck gold with a brand new extension with Michigan State which puts him amongst the highest-paid coaches in college football. According to the Detroit Free Press Tucker’s deal will be worth $95 million across 10 years.
The deal is a historic one for the prior Nick Saban assistant for multiple different reasons.
Tucker’s predicted annual salary will be the largest one in the Big Ten surpassing Penn State’s James Franklin per the report. The only head coach that will be making more than Tucker would be Saban should the numbers hold up.
