Mac Hereford, a native of Birmingham, Ala., arrived in the Crimson Tide’s 2016 signing class as a preferred walk-on at wide receiver. In noticing his work ethic, he made players such as Calvin Ridley, Cam Sims, Robert Foster, Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III and DeVonta Smith among others better at the position.
Despite not getting a chance to carve out a big career, he gave Alabama’s defense quality looks at its opponents’ best receivers while being a glue guy in the locker room.
