The Washington Football Team could not let Cam Sims hit the free-agent market, especially with what he was able to do in his third season with the franchise.
He worked his way from the practice squad to the active roster, and it paid off last season. Sims, an alumnus of the University of Alabama, finished fourth on the team for receiving yards. He recorded 32 catches for 477 yards and one touchdown in 12 games.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pounder had two 100-yard outings, including a huge performance in the NFC Wild Card Game for Washington versus Tampa Bay.
