Sadly, we have some sad news to pass along today. Former Tide running back Altee Tenpenny passed away not too long ago after a motor vehicle accident.
The tweets came from various news organizations as well as several of his former teammates while Tenpenny was in Tuscaloosa.
Just heard the news about Altee Tenpenny. My heart is broken. He was a tremendous young man. RIP Altee. Gone too soon.

Matheson went on in a later tweet to tell one of his followers that Tenpenny lost his life in the accident on his way from home.
