Former Alabama QB hired as OC at ACC school

On Saturday, former Alabama quarterback Rob Ezell was hired as Wake Forest’s new offensive coordinator. The former Alabama backup signal-caller is well known for his impression of former Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

Ezell, an Alabama native, played at Alabama from 2007-2010. He served as a walk-on with the Crimson Tide. Following his senior season, Ezell chose to pursue a career in coaching. In 2011, he began his coaching career as a student assistant at Alabama.

After the conclusion of the 2011 season, Ezell joined the Colorado State coaching staff as a graduate assistant. He spent three seasons in Fort Collins.
