Former Alabama quarterback David Cornwell has left the Nevada program, the team announced late Tuesday night.
"David Cornwell has left the team and asked for his release from the program," Nevada spokesman Chad Hartley said in a statement. "We appreciate his contributions and wish him the best moving forward. The team's focus remains on preparing for the Mountain West conference opener this weekend."
After entering fall camp as the team's starting quarterback, Cornwell was beaten out for the job during camp and didn't play in the Wolf Pack's first three games.
He played during Nevada's 45-7 loss to No.
