Former Alabama QB David Cornwell leaves Nevada

At one time, David Cornwell was a candidate to become Alabama’s starting quarterback. Now, the former four-star recruit is on the move once again.

Cornwell has left the Nevada program less than a week after making his debut for the Wolf Pack, as reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal.

That brings an end to a stay in Reno for Cornwell, who transferred to the Mountain West Conference program from Alabama last year.

Cornwell played in just one game for Nevada, last week against Washington State, and it did not go well. He was 13-of-25 passes for only 97 yards, and threw three interceptions.
