Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims is continuing his football career.
AussieFaithful.com is reporting Sims has signed with the Wollongong Devils of Australia's first-year National Gridiron League.
To put the league in perspective, AussieFaithful.com asks the question: "Is it the most impressive NGL signing so far?"
Last August, Sims joined the Roughriders' practice squad on Aug. 4. Saskatchewan activated the quarterback on Sept. 6. But he was released on Sept. 15 without taking a snap for the Roughriders during his two games on the roster.
Sims set an Alabama single-season record by passing for 3,487 yards in 2014, when he tossed 28 TD passes and earned the MVP honor in the Crimson Tide's 42-13 victory over Missouri in the SEC championship game.
