Former Alabama quarterback Blake Sims is one step closer to getting his shot in the NFL — in a whole new role.
Sims joined the practice squad of the Atlanta Falcons, the club announced Tuesday

But he’s not playing quarterback. Sims is expected to be converted into a running back with the Falcons. He played running back early in his career with Alabama before moving back to quarterback.
