Alabama football pulled a serviceable offensive tackle from the transfer portal with Tyler Steen.
As a South Florida native, Steen totaled 25 knockdown blocks and helped the Crimson Tide to an Allstate Sugar Bowl victory over Kansas State in 2022. He assisted Bryce Young to 3,328 passing yards and 32 touchdown passes. Steen also cleared the way for Jahmyr Gibbs and Jase McClellan to each record seven rushing touchdowns. Steen struggled at times against the best edge rushers in college football — allowing 4.5 sacks, 12 quarterback pressures, and eight quarterback hits — but he earned second-team All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches.
