Former Alabama golfer Justin Thomas made a historical run to becomes the second player in Crimson Tide history to win a major after Jerry Pate won 1976 U.S. Open. he started the day three strokes back in fourth place. He had several big shots but the biggest might have been his birdie two at the 17th hole that basically clinched the cup.
Only 24 years old, Thomas has won four tournaments this year and has a great shot at Player of the Year.
