The Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent and former Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Allen. The two sides agreed to a three-year deal worth $60-million dollars.
Allen recently requested a trade from the Washington Commanders. After the Commanders were unsuccessful in trading Allen, the organization decided to release the two-time Pro-Bowler.
The Virginia native spent the first eight years of his professional career with the Commanders. He had a successful tenure in Landover, Maryland. Over eight seasons, Allen recorded 401 total tackles and 42 sacks.
The Vikings needed help along the defensive line, so they brought in Allen for a visit on Monday.
