A scary moment opened the college football season for a former Alabama football player.
Aaron Robinson, who spent one season in Tuscaloosa, was stretchered off the field after a nine-minute delay Thursday. Now at UCF, Robinson was injured on the opening kickoff of the game at Connecticut.
Robinson was immobilized on the field and taken off on a stretcher. The ESPNU broadcast reported movement in Robinson's legs before leaving the field. He gave a thumbs up to the crowd before being taken to an ambulance.
A member of the 2016 recruiting class, Robinson appeared in 13 games as a true freshman before transferring to UCF last season.
