Alabama football will be down another ‘Wolf’ linebacker against Mercer, and this one for a different reason.
Keanu Koht, a former four-star in the 2021 recruiting class, is suspended from the team.
Kalen DeBoer, the Crimson Tide’s head coach, announced the news to the media in Monday’s presser. Koht, a native Floridian, did not play in last week’s matchup versus Louisiana State University in Alabama’s 42-13 victory. The 6-foot-4, 242-pounder has five total tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, and half a sack in seven games this season. Koht had four tackles last season in three games.
“Not getting into length or anything like that, but won’t be with us this weekend,” DeBoer said of Koht’s status for Alabama’s game against Mercer.
