Alabama football has been in constant contact with Derrek Cooper as of late.
Cooper is a 2026 four-star running-back prospect out of Chaminade-Madonna High School in Hollywood, Florida. He is in the conversation to be the countries’ No. 1 running back prospect by the time the 2026 class wraps up.
Alabama hosted Cooper for a visit in October.
“It was a great visit,” Cooper told Touchdown Alabama at the Under Armour All-America Game media day. “Got there to visit, talked to coach (Robert) Gillespie and Coach (Kalen) DeBoer. I got to meet them in person, see their personalities, see if I fit there.
