Next Tuesday, the 2016 season really begins to heat up with the release of the first set of rankings by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. Let’s review the basics.
* Starting this Sunday, the 12-member committee will meet each week at the Gaylord Texan Resort Hotel in Grapevine, Texas, which is short drive from the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. The committee will release the rankings on Tuesday nights on November 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. The final rankings will be released on Sunday, December 4.
