Alabama reportedly has finalized its 2019 schedule by adding Western Carolina. That the Tide has a game against a FCS foe doesn’t necessarily mean as much as the addition of that game means lackluster non-conference schedules for Alabama in at least two of the next three seasons.
This season, the Tide’s non-conference games are Louisville, Arkansas State, UL Lafayette and The Citadel. In 2019, it’s Duke, New Mexico State, Southern Miss and Western Carolina. In 2020, the only non-conference games scheduled thus far are Georgia State and Kent State. (At least Alabama will open the 2021 season against Miami.
