Everett Golson Is Transferring, Is Alabama His Destination?

Quarterback Everett Golson has decided to leave the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. This probably means that Brian Kelly has decided that Malik Zaire is his new starting quarterback, which would leave redshirt senior Golson a backup. So now we have another big name former starter (besides Braxton Miller) who might be looking for a new football home.

Most Alabama fans probably remember Golson as the freshman phoneme quarterback that the Tide faced in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game. That game was a dominate performance by the tide, but for a freshman, Golson didn’t do too bad. Golson finished the 2012 BCS National Championship Game having gone 21/36 for 270 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT.
