ESPN recently updated its college football top 25 power ranking after spring football, and Alabama football is just outside of the top five.
The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked No. 1 after back-to-back National Championship seasons. Michigan followed the Bulldogs at No. 2. Florida State, USC and Ohio State are the next programs.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are ranked No. 6. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach highlighted Alabama’s quarterback competition as a big reason for why the Tide are outside of the top five.
