ESPN has fun with '30 for 30,' includes Tua Tagovailoa, Nick Foles reference

What if I told you ... ESPN can make fun of itself.

In a football season in which Super Bowl LII and the College Football Playoff national championship both starred winning quarterbacks who started the season as backups, ESPN couldn't resist thinking out loud on social media.

ESPN tweeted Monday a just-for-fun image for a mythical "30 for 30" documentary titled, "Year of the Backup."

Foles led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 41-33 victory over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots on Sunday in Super Bowl LII.

Meanwhile, Tagovailoa, of course, entered the College Football Playoff national championship game at halftime against Georgia, replacing Jalen Hurts and threw three touchdown passes, including the game-winner in overtime to beat the Bulldogs 26-23.
