The fight was different, but the result was the same for former Alabama linebacker Eryk Anders at "UFC Fight Night 123" on Saturday night in Fresno, California. Anders stayed unbeaten as an MMA professional by scoring a unanimous decision against Markus Perez in a middleweight fight.
Anders raised his mixed martial arts record to 10-0. Seven of his previous nine fights had ended in the first round, including his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut on July 23.
Perez also entered Saturday night's fight, his UFC debut, with a 9-0 record.
On the judges' scorecards, Anders won the three-round fight 30-26, 30-25 and 29-28.
