Running back Eddie Lacy has signed a one-year, $5.55 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks that's heavy with incentives, with a little irony in "heavy" since the deal contains $385,000 the former Alabama star can earn by reaching weight goals.
According to Field Yates of ESPN, Lacy will have seven weigh-ins that will be worth $55,000 apiece. His weight goals will be 255 pounds in May, 250 pounds in June and August and 245 pounds for September, October, November and December.
After Lacy rushed for 2,317 yards and 20 touchdowns in his first two NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers, he dropped to 758 yards and three TDs in 2015.
